Great Barrier Reef is a three-part BBC documentary series narrated by David Attenborough that aired between December 2015 and January 2016.
The series used the MV Alucia as its operational base, allowing the production team to film across one of the planet’s most biodiverse marine ecosystems. The three episodes explored the natural history and ecological complexity of the reef system off Australia’s north-east coast. The series was released on DVD and Blu-ray in January 2016, bringing Attenborough’s characteristic observational style to underwater cinematography and reef science.
