Union Glacier Camp.

Union Glacier Camp is a seasonal private camp in Ellsworth Land, Antarctica, situated on Union Glacier in the Heritage Range beneath the Ellsworth Mountains.

As the only privately operated seasonal facility of its kind on the continent, Union Glacier Camp serves as a logistics hub and staging point for expeditions into Antarctica’s interior. The camp operates during the austral summer months when conditions permit access to the remote site. Its location in the Heritage Range places it within striking distance of significant mountaineering objectives and polar routes, including journeys to the South Pole. The camp provides essential infrastructure—shelters, runways, supplies—for adventurers, scientists and support teams working in one of Earth’s most extreme environments. Union Glacier itself, a blue-ice runway capable of receiving wheeled aircraft, makes the camp accessible despite its isolation at roughly 80 degrees south.
