Take the Jump.

Take the Jump is a climate action campaign that encourages individuals to adopt specific lifestyle changes to reduce personal carbon emissions. The initiative focuses on six practical shifts, including eating a plant-based diet, reducing flying, and keeping electronic devices longer, presenting these as accessible steps people can take in response to the climate crisis.

The campaign emerged from research into the gap between the scale of climate change and the actions available to individuals beyond systemic advocacy. By concentrating on measurable behaviours rather than vague environmental goals, it attempts to translate scientific targets into daily choices that collectively contribute to emissions reduction.

Take the Jump is discussed in Episode: Grand expeditions and the wonder of local exploration, with Alastair Humphreys.
