Space Mountain.

Space Mountain is a space-themed indoor roller coaster attraction operating at five of the six Disneyland-style Disney Parks worldwide. Each installation features a distinctive conical exterior structure that has become an architectural landmark within its respective park.

The original Space Mountain opened at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida in 1975, housing two separate tracks designated Alpha and Omega that allow riders to select their route. Although all five versions share the space exploration theme and signature cone-shaped building, each attraction differs in track layout and design. The ride experience unfolds entirely in darkness, punctuated by projected stars and cosmic effects that simulate a journey through outer space. Following the success of the Florida installation, Disney constructed Space Mountain attractions at Disneyland California, Tokyo Disneyland, Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland. Shanghai Disneyland remains the only major Disney resort without a Space Mountain installation, opting instead for a different space-themed attraction in its Tomorrowland area.
