Geological Society of America.

The Geological Society of America (GSA) is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to advancing the geosciences through research, education and professional development.

Founded to support earth scientists across disciplines, GSA provides a platform for geologists, palaeontologists, environmental scientists and other researchers to share findings, collaborate on field studies and advocate for the importance of understanding our planet’s history and processes. The organisation publishes peer-reviewed journals, convenes annual meetings and supports field expeditions that deepen our knowledge of Earth’s structure, evolution and natural systems. For explorers and adventurers working in remote or geologically significant regions, GSA’s research helps contextualise landscapes, from volcanic terrains to ancient fossil beds, and informs conservation efforts that protect geologically important sites.
