Wyss Foundation.

The Wyss Foundation is a private non-profit organisation based in Washington, D.C., founded in 1998 by Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss.

The foundation funds conservation work internationally, including through the Wyss Campaign for Nature, launched in 2018 with the goal of helping to protect 30 per cent of the planet in a natural state by 2030. It also operates the Berger Action Fund, an associated advocacy group established in 2007, and channels support to political causes through Arabella Advisors and related entities. The foundation’s conservation grants have helped establish and expand protected areas across terrestrial and marine environments, working with governments, indigenous communities and conservation groups to secure legal safeguards for ecologically significant landscapes and seascapes.

The Wyss Foundation is mentioned in Field Notes: French Polynesia designates 520,000 square kilometres as highest protection marine reserve.
