Hazen Audel
Hazen Audel (born January 25, 1974, Spokane, WA) is an American biologist, wilderness guide, survival instructor and host of the award-winning TV series Primal Survivor (National Geographic / Disney+), Survive the Tribe and Ultimate Survival WWII. He spent years living with the Kichwa and Waiorani peoples in the Amazon, mastering indigenous survival skills and two native languages.
After studying ethnobotany at the University of Hawaii, Hazen returned home to teach high-school biology and art, all while building a guerrilla-style science filmmaking collective, “The Wild Classroom.” His breakthrough came when Icon Films commissioned the unscripted pilot that became Primal Survivor, now one of National Geographic’s top programs on Disney+.
