Emma Reynolds is the UK Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, the cabinet minister responsible for environmental policy, rural communities, agriculture and biodiversity protection across England.
The role oversees Defra, the government department that manages issues from climate adaptation and flood defence to national parks, farming subsidies and conservation regulation. Reynolds holds the position during a period of mounting pressure on land use, nature recovery targets and resilience planning as climate projections grow more acute.
She appears in Field Notes: The Climate Change Committee warns 92% of UK homes will overheat by 2050.
