The North Pole.

The North Pole is a public house located in Islington, north London, England.

Despite its evocative name suggesting polar exploration, this establishment is a traditional British pub serving the local community in one of London’s historic boroughs. Islington itself has long been home to artists, writers and radicals, and its collection of Victorian-era pubs reflects the area’s working-class roots. The North Pole name may reference the 19th-century fascination with Arctic exploration, when such geographical monikers became fashionable for British public houses during the era of Franklin, Parry and other Royal Navy expeditions seeking the Northwest Passage.
