Gulf News is a daily English-language newspaper published in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
First launched in 1978, Gulf News became one of the region’s earliest English-language broadsheets, with its online edition following in 1996. The paper is published by Al Nisr Publishing, a subsidiary of the Al Tayer Group, chaired by former UAE Finance Minister Obaid Al Tayer. Operating from Dubai, it covers regional and international news, including developments in environmental science, conservation policy and exploration across the Middle East and beyond.
Gulf News appeared in our Field Notes coverage of record-breaking Everest summit numbers and the global recovery of mangrove forests, offering regional perspectives on conservation milestones and outdoor achievement.
