Royal Golden Eagle.

Royal Golden Eagle is a Singapore-based industrial conglomerate with operations spanning pulp and paper, palm oil, viscose fibre, construction, energy and property development. The group employs around 80,000 people globally and holds assets exceeding US$40 billion.

Owned by Indonesian businessman Sukanto Tanoto, the company—also known as Raja Garuda Emas—operates through multiple subsidiaries across resource-intensive sectors. Its palm oil holdings place it among the major players in Southeast Asian plantation agriculture, while its forestry and pulp operations span several countries. The scale of its land concessions and manufacturing footprint means Royal Golden Eagle intersects with conservation debates around deforestation, peatland conversion and habitat loss, particularly in Indonesia where much of its resource base lies. Environmental groups have scrutinised several of its subsidiaries over land-use practices and supply-chain transparency.
