New Glasgow.

New Glasgow is an unincorporated area in Queens County, Prince Edward Island, Canada, situated in the central portion of the island south-west of North Rustico along the Hunter River.

This small rural community lies within the traditional territory of the Mi’kmaq people and forms part of Prince Edward Island’s agricultural heartland. The Hunter River watershed that runs through the area supports local ecosystems and connects the interior farmland to the island’s north shore coastal environments. Like much of central Prince Edward Island, New Glasgow sits within a landscape shaped by centuries of human settlement, from Indigenous communities through to European colonisation and modern farming. The area’s position between the interior and coast makes it characteristic of the island’s gently rolling terrain and red soil that defines this Maritime province.
