Benjamin Larue.

Benjamin Larue is a postdoctoral fellow at Université Laval whose research examines the effects of roads on migratory caribou populations in northern Canada.

His work focuses on understanding how infrastructure development, particularly road networks expanding into the Arctic, influences caribou movement patterns and herd dynamics. This research carries particular weight as caribou populations face dramatic decline alongside increased industrial access to their ranges.

Larue’s findings appear in Field Notes: Bathurst herd shrinks to 3,609 as Canada eyes Arctic road expansion.
